Hand coding to fine tune the codes (no WYSIWYG tools around)

The first rule of thumb is HTML hand coding always makes up a good design for most famous sites around the world. We love hard coding because we also do other software programming and that we could easily identify the errors and make changes when necessary. We do not have objection against many popular, intelligent HTML editors but we just do not want to rely on them. The pros and cons of this hand coding rule is that

Pros:

  • helps minimize loading time due to unnecessary tags that are usually generated from most WYSIWYG HTML Editors and left them scattered all over your web pages.
  • gives the advantage of fine tuning any hidden display errors and miscellaneous details that make it impossible when using WYSIWYG Editors
  • makes it easier to maintain websites with editable and readable source codes

  • Cons:
  • time consuming for contruction especially large web sites (well, that's our problem)
  • prone to human coding errors, e.g. broken links may happen (we perform testing on devery page well before launching)

  • @ Lumpini, we only use original hand coding for great flexibility of site design and maintenance.

Our 7 rules of thumb to contruct any web sites under our supervision.
